Vintage Handmade Folded
Vintage Handmade Folded

Calling all crafty people! Handmade card instructions?
Hi people, well it’s one of my good friend’s birthdays on tuesday and I want to make her a cute, personalised card that is just a little bit different (like, not the bog-standard paper folded in two and decorated type of thing, y’know?) I want to experiment with various shapes, textures and what not.
Some of my friend’s interests are:
-dancing
-reading
-vintage clothing
-chocolate
She is a funky, sort of outrageous induvidualist.
Step by step instructions would be really, really appreciated, and also a picture of the final product.
thankyou all so much,
xx
okayy.. try the instructions below, but I can’t put a picture in, but you can imagine what the card will look like by reading the instructions.
Fun reading birthday cake
Materials needed:
-colored pencils and markers
-A piece of paper
-stickers
-Glitter and other colorful accessories to put on your card
on a piece of 8.5*11 in piece of paper fold it in half widthwise and at the fold, draw a birthday cake that has three layers and the first layer of the cake must be connected to the fold. (like a card that is shaped like a birthday cake). Then you can draw eyes on the cake and draw hands pointing to the right holding a book. then you can decorate the cake using glitter as icing and you can draw candles. You can write happy birthday on the cake. And make sure you draw the cake big so you’ll have space to write in in. Then cut out the drawing ( do not cut on the fold) then you have a card!
ribbon cards:
Materials:
-Hole punch
-ribbon
-paint,makers, and colored pencils or crayons
-glitter
-A pieces of standard whiter paper
Measure the piece of paper and fold it evenly in to thirds. The first third will be the cover. Now to decorate the cover, on the top side of the cover, use a hole punch to punch a hole every 3/4 of an inch. Then thread a ribbon through the holes and tape the ends. Do the same for the bottom side. In the corners, you can draw things in her interest like on one corner, draw a book, on the other, draw a dancer and etc…
then in the middle draw a birthday cake, balloons, happy birthday banner, party hats and other party accessories. Now the first third is done. The middle third will be the place where you write your message. Then fold the last third over the middle and decorate it with glitter, pictures, etc… then fold the cover over and you have decorative card!
The instructions are kind of confusing but if you don’t understand something, let me know. The websites below are helpful too. Good luck on your card making!
