How can I be charged with possession of a dangerous weapon, when I bought it legally?
I was pulled over for speeding, and upon a check of my person the officer found a farm knife, folding, locking blade (blade about 4″), he confiscated it, and charged me with possession of a dangerous weapon? I bought this knife at the local hardware store, and have had it and been pulled over with it many times before. What are my choices of action?
Many states say 3 to 5″ and usually if under 18.
Since it was 3.5″,? You will be able to go to court on the charge and explain why and where you got the knife. Since I do not know what state your in, it is hard to look up your local laws.
