sword and the stone/King Arthur homework help, please.?
I am ks3 and my homework is about the sword in the stone/king arthur.
I have to write 4 paragraphs about Arthurs journey to London starting from him waking up in a inn of some kind on his way, and on from there.
I have looked on the internet but can’t find any good websites that include his overnight stay.
All I know is it’s the original version.
Arthur was the first born son of King Uther Pendragon and heir to the throne. However these were very troubled times and Merlin advised that the baby Arthur should be raised in secret and that none should know his true identity.
As Merlin feared, when Uther died there was great conflict over who should be the next king. Merlin used magic to set Uther’s sword in a stone. Written on the sword was: “Whoso pulleth out this sword of this stone is the rightwise born king of all England.” Everyone tried to draw the sword, but none could. Arthur, quite by chance, withdrew the sword for another to use in a tournament. Following this he became King.
Arthur was raised by Ector and was the son of Uther and the wife of his arch enemy.
