Whats this game called? I believe it was for Playstation where you fight each other as “Dynasty Warriors”.?

After you pick a character, you get to choose what kind of weapon you want to use whether it be a long staff, a dagger, a katana, or a sword, etc. It was one on one combat. All I remember is seeing lots of Japanese writing all over the cover and in game, sometimes not being able to decipher it. It’s a real old game that I would like to find again. It isn’t called Dynasty Warriors. If I saw the cover, I’d know. It has a white background with a a few warriors on the cover.
