Sword Hand Made
WoW: i just made a night elf warrior. should i be a night elf.?

ok i made a night elf, and i really like him, but i dont know wwat weapon i should use. i dont know if pole arms are any good. right now im using a 2 Handed Sword. i want to use a polearm but i dont know if they r any good. my eapon right now is really slow(2 handed sword) i dont know which is better. a faster weapon or a powerful weapon. and i dont know if i should learn to duel wield then duel wield swords? plz help!

It all becomes clearer and easier to answer the higher in level you get… Polearms aren’t generally used among warriors (Because they aren’t designed for them), but “Poleaxe Specialization” covers both that, and axes, and gives you a +5% critical chance with either, and if that’s how you want to spec, is advisable.

With 2H weapons, using a slower weapon is advisable, because attack power coefficients apply “better” to a slower weapon. I won’t get into the mathematics behind that answer, just trust that a slower weapon is better :) .

And to the response saying druids are better tanks and damage… I don’t like to criticize other people’s responses, but please don’t listen to that. Druids are great at what they are, jacks of all trades. Warriors are the #1 tanks (All other types of tanks are optional, warrior tanks are 100% needed in many boss fights, due to their ability to avoid “Crushing blows”, more math I won’t get into here, and their overall versatility in single target tanking) The only reason a druid tank would be taken over a warrior is that they can provide better damage when not tanking, or spot heal. Feral druids are great, but they aren’t “Superior” in any way, people tend to forget the whole “Block” mitigation, and stance damage reduction.

About learning to dual wield… Always “Learn” to, and level up their skills, but level with the best equipment available to you at the time, until you’ve got enough levels behind you to be able to invest in a specialization and stick to it. Any of the Arms specializations are great for leveling, although many choose to level as Fury, and take 2 1 handed weapons over the 1 big 2H, the reason being, fury regenerates health, and provides more damage, on a more consistent basis, as opposed to spiky, sudden damage.
