Death defined Damascus steele
forged in in fearless flames
sharpened on a shard of stone
countless crowns it claims
fingers pressed in ivory flesh
curves to meet the grip
God himself would fear the fury
sheathed beside my hip
blood lines running ages old
monarchs it has made
ancient souls of fallen foes
haunts the hulking blade
piercing through opposing armor
Chain Mail cast aside
rival knights who swarm to battle
assured of their last ride
wielded in the wilds of war
with hardened hands of stone
master of malicious mayhem
servant to the throne
no enemy shall quell my light
vile invading hoard
when all is lost and kingdoms crash
I’ll fall upon my sword
I’m thinking avatars are better for illustration than identification

As a hobbyist blade maker, I can appreciate the damascus blade and the awesome force it carries with it for the wielder. This is a nice work, even unto the end when the king’s hero, knowing the king is dead and all is lost, falls on his own sword to end life on his own terms.
