Opinions on this revised poem..warning… its morbid?
Thick blood trickles down his arm
satisfying feel of harm
blood washes the pain away
it comes back day after day
scratches are wearable
the pain inside is unbearable
through his viens it runs deep
he has no tolerance to weep
the razor is sharp
his sorrow a steadfast tarp
the blood is a river
he starts to quiver
life has a mournful beat
slowly the razor and his skin meet
it’s steel runs icy and cold
will these habits ever fold
his courage runs thin
a confusing feeling within
his body is leery
mind is weary
can he change his ways
from all of the gory days
can’t stop the burning of a deep slit
he knows he can do it
but it’s happening still
he needs to build eternal will
for his self determination to grow
and his blood not to flow
