How can I properly clean a sword?
I have a collectable ninja sword that I’ve had for four years, and I really like it, but for some reason it has a few scratches on it, and it keeps on getting more and more scratches every year. I don’t get it out that much, but for some reason it just keeps on getting scratches. And I’ve tried to wash it of with water, but it didn’t do any good. And I saw a rust spot on the handle it. I’m just a little worried that it’ll look really crappy after a few years and that it’ll have to be thrown away. Am I doing anything wrong? are there any products or other things I can use to clean it? It’s entirely made of metal, and doesn’t have a wooden handle covered in string, but do I need something to properly clean it?
Thanks!

i collect guns the older the better. i don’t use any oil on them because the oil will get sticky an also get in the wood. what i use is a good furniture polish. it keeps the metal dry an shinny. an wont let it get rusty. if you hold any of the metal where you touch it it will rust. keep an old rag.with the polish on it an touch up.
