I have a 1768 Einen Reichs Thal coin, with initials FU under the date. around the outside it says “FURSTL : HESS : LANDM . *IUSTIRT*, on the other side is a lion holding up a shield with the lettersTF and around the outside it says “160 STUCK HINII MARK FEIN. If so, it’s a 1/12th Thaler (or “Taler”) from Hesse-Kassel, a division of the Holy Roman Empire, in an area that would now be part of modern-day Germany:

One of these was a 1767 1/12 Thaler that looks highly similar to the one you describe. This coin, in middle circulated grades (probably somewhere between “very good” and “very fine,” from a quick look) sold for $7.30, not including shipping, in early December 2008:
