Why is the judging so terrible on the Next Food Network Star (Answer if you watch the show)?

I am so confused by the elimination and judging this year on the next food network star. Whitney Chen got kicked off for showing emotion, yet a few episodes ago, Susie Fogelson wanted Jyll, another conestant to show some emotion. And the annoying Chris is so immature and shows no real personality. They kept him and let Orchid go! How could they do that! And Penny, oh my god, they actually kept that bitch for so long. They seriously need some new judges and should kick Susie Fogelson out.

I personally think the judges’ minds are made up early on in the competition. I wouldn’t be surprised if they already knew who they had in mind before the show even aired, and just wanted to make it look like it was a competition, so they could have a TV show. I think Whitney Chen was one of the best, but I also think she looked too much like Rachael Ray. It’s my opinion that they kept Penny on for so long because she added ‘drama’ to the show, and from the looks of the preview for next week…she’s coming back! I hope it’s temporary… I feel like Susie Fogelson lets her personal feelings about the contestants get in the way of her judging…and it’s obvious to me that she feels threatened by the strong females. I’m just glad Bobby Flay’s on the show…he balances out the bitchiness of Susie and the mushiness of Bob Tuschman with his actual knowledge of good cooking!
