What are my chances of getting into the naval academy? what about the Prep school?
Black male SAT score 1400(530 critical reading, 390 math, 480 writing)
cumulative GPA 3.17 1 AP course
extra curricular activities include varsity ice hockey, Varsity soccer, Cross country, wrestling, JROTC officer at Military high school, JROTC raiders team, Eagle scout. I attend the summer seminar at the naval academy
The Military Academies are highly political, so if you aren’t affiliated already with a military familiy or have an inside track to your Congressman, apply and see what happens but consider your other options. Since you “have” done JROTC, then your shot at Prep is fine and your shot at a University ROTC program are quite good. I would pursue that avenue.
